Susan Walker-Ing, Watercolours & Acrylics

Creative Connection is the store that Susan first founded in 1991. While Susan no longer sits on the board, she is still involved with the store and decided to help out by painting a mural on the top portion of the 14' walls.

Incredibly, Susan completed this mural in three days.

The building is an old manufacturing business with a small storefront. The artists opened up the back for retail and studio space as well.

Susan made the best of the old pipes and venting systems to incorporate them in places where they're not noticed. The barn is actually a board nailed to the wall that's there for unknown reasons. The tree extends up beyond the edge of the wall to give the feeling of actually being outside.

Susan is working on scaffolding and must keep in mind that the customers will be viewing it from several feet below. An added dimension is provided with the perspective of a street going off in another direction.

The mural has a unique country feel that adds to the ambience of the store.
